Salesforce has long been at the forefront of CRM innovation, and with the latest additions to its Einstein suite — Einstein for Flows and Einstein for Formulas — businesses are set to benefit from even greater efficiencies and insights from their data.
These features are designed to seamlessly integrate advanced AI capabilities into your everyday operations and workflows, empowering users to make smarter decisions and streamline processes with ease. Let’s dive into what these new tools offer and how they can transform your Salesforce experience.
If you’re new to the world of Salesforce AI, we’ve got you covered with our Rise and GPT newsletter (shameless plug).
But to quickly recap, Einstein GPT integrates public and private AI models with CRM data, allowing users to ask natural-language questions directly within the Salesforce CRM. This results in AI-generated content that continuously adapts to changing customer information and needs, saving users significant time.
Einstein GPT supports both public and private AI models and is always learning based on what users put into it — enabling it to learn and adhere to your company’s best practices.
Salesforce Flow is a powerful tool that allows you to create complex workflows, automations, and business solutions using clicks instead of code. Starting on July 16, you’ll be able to use Einstein to build draft flows (beta).
In just a few clicks, you’ll be able to describe what you want to automate and Einstein generative AI will handle the rest. Based on the description you provide, Einstein will create a draft screen, record-triggered, schedule-triggered, or autolaunched flow to get you started.
Einstein can build a flow with up to six elements using:
Using a conversational interface to quickly describe the automations needed in a flow makes the process of building flows easier for users with less technical experience. For Salesforce Admins that are new to flows, Einstein for Flow is a great learning tool. For experienced admins, the tool can give you a great starting point for building out complex flows.
Einstein GPT for Flow will allow you to:
Einstein for Flow is available with:
To enable Einstein for Flow (beta), turn on Einstein generative AI in Setup, select Einstein for Flow (Beta), and activate it. Detailed instructions for Einstein for Flow setup can be found here.
As with any newly released Salesforce product, we highly recommend checking your flows drafted with Einstein for accuracy and debugging and testing the flow before activating.
Salesforce Formulas have always been a powerful tool for creating custom calculations and logic within your CRM. Formulas are commonly used in formula fields, validation rules, and default values in fields. Formulas allow you to do cool things like automate calculations, validate data, trigger automation, and much more.
Creating new formulas and modifying existing ones can be a tricky process, even for advanced Salesforce Admins. Einstein for Formulas will help admins with some of these pain points by providing admins with their very own formula “assistant”.
Einstein will help you determine if you’re on the right track by explaining formulas in formula fields, validation rules, and default values in fields when you create a new formula or edit an existing one. You can even provide feedback if the explanation was helpful and accurate and Einstein will incorporate the feedback into the Large Language Model (LLM).
Einstein for Formulas is available with:
Also exciting: Formula creation is coming in Winter ‘25 and will allow you to ask Einstein to create a formula from scratch using a natural language description. Wahoo!
Salesforce's latest advancements with Einstein for Flows and Einstein for Formulas mark a significant leap in CRM technology. These tools integrate advanced AI capabilities seamlessly into daily operations, empowering businesses to optimize workflows and derive actionable insights from their data.
With the integration of natural language processing and generative AI, the future of Salesforce looks brighter than ever, offering unparalleled support to both new and experienced users.
